Reading Rhythmic Notation and Rhythm Exercises
Music is made up of combinations of long notes and short notes, usually in repeating patterns. We call these patterns rhythms, and learning how to read and internalize rhythm is a fundamental skill for all musicians.
No matter what instrument you play, practising stand-alone rhythm exercises can help build skill and confidence.
The PDF titled Reading Rhythmic Notation explains the fundamental concepts of how we write and read rhythms.
Rhythm Reading 1, Rhythm Reading 2, Rhythm Reading 3, are progressive rhythm exercises for the developing musician.
More exercises will be added weekly.
